Well said, nicely done. I agree wholeheartedly with the whole digression into the weight issues - there's healthy and there's too thin and so many girls just don't acknowledge the difference (and I was once one of them).

I just loved the article as a whole. Perhaps I didn't agree with every little tid bit, but I love the attention you have brought to the all too scary epidemic that's hit the world in the form of eating disorders! In high school I weighed a whopping 105 lbs, and being only 5 ft tall, isn't at all over or under weight, but felt so much pressure to be thin from all around, guys, other girls, etc.. so I literally stopped eating, and started exercising in efforts to make it under 3 digits in weight. After making it to 91 lbs, my mom and sisters threatened me with hospitals, and iv's, and sent me to the counselor, who finally convinced me that there was a such thing as healthy skinny, and sick skinny.. and I went back to my 105, but made sure that I was toned. The world seriously needs to realize what's healthy, and what's not, and quit putting these ideas into young women's heads! Perhaps not everyone will know who Paulina Gretzky is, but seeing as she is in the spotlight of the hockey world, many of the young women who are hockey fans, will be looking to her as a sort of role model, and I fear that they will get the idea that she is a "healthy thin" as opposed to the health risk she really is. Thankfully, there are people who will put it out there in the open, with articles such as this, and shine the light where it rightfully needs to be placed... not on her "racy" photos, but on the fact that said photos show an unhealthy young lady, and the seriousness of eating disorders and the effects on the bodies appearance. Thanks for writing this!

Girl - I don't think I have ever agreed with you more. I wanted to jump up and sing "HALLELUJAH! PREACH IT SISTER!!!" at least 4 times as I read this post. Especially during that last part. I almost started speaking in tongues. I mean seriously... (smart) women learned long ago that you can't change a man. When are men going to realize the same thing? The apple don't fall far from the tree Wayne...

And you seem to assume I'm talking about the previous incident. This is a new one evidently involving Instagram not Twitter and, once again, Daddy is unimpressed. I also used "racy" in quotations because that is what the media is calling them.
